Pokerstars Sucks
A few years ago I was standing outside a bar called The Fieldhouse in downtown Columbia, MO. It was a favorite for college freshman with fake ids. There was this girl outside of the bar trying to pass off a fake, but the bouncer wasn't having it. She started crying and pleading with him... and I just remember her sniveling "Pleeeeeeeeeeeease let me in. I'll give you money!"
Now I know how that girl felt. A lot of you know that my account at Pokerstars was closed early this year. They claimed it was because of some things I said in chat about RakeFree, but I figured it was more likely due to them just not liking me. I've seen a lot of people say some pretty bad things on chat, and they just get their chat taken away for a few months... not banned from the site.
Anyway, I sent them the following request to reactivate my account recently, and this is what they said. Looks like their decision WAS personal after all. Sucks to be me.
If you feel like shooting Pokerstars an email letting them know how you feel about their decision, you can contact Dan Goldman at dan@pokerstars.com, Rich Korbin at rich@pokerstars.com, or Lee Jones at pokermanager@pokerstars.com.
Time to start a Heman-Pokerstars-Haters club. And those guys are NOT invited.

Hi Russ -
We have given serious consideration to your request, and I am sorry,
but we
will not reopen your account. We didn't make that decision lightly,
and it
involved all the senior managers at the site. But we just aren't
comfortable with your behavior in the poker community and so the ban
must
stand.

Lee Jones

Hey Dutch. I know what u mean when u say that other people get there chat taken away. Matter of fact My was for 1 month. You have my FullSupport. I will be sending them all 3 emails. Another thing, you plug Lee Jone's book, Winning Low Limit Holdem at rakefree, yet he banned u from PokerStars. Very Intresting Situation if u ask me. Anyway, Take care mam. Best of luck with everuthing.
Hey Dutch that is pretty messed up they wont let you play on there you see ppl all the time on there talkin about how P.S sucks and they are gonna switch sites and stuff and they shouldve never banned you just b/c of personal crap ill be sending them a few emails voicing my opinion for you..so what site do you play at now and whats your screen name on there...
shane
Dutch,
I'll drop an email, it can't hurt. It totally sucks, man. What a bummer. What is really sad is how they word it - your "behavior" in the poker community
What the hell does that mean? I've seen some occasional coarse language here and there, but that certainly isn't grounds for such a decision. They are obviously singling you out. Did someone at stars lose money at PSI?
Sad.
I sent them an email and the responded with the following.
Hi -
Thanks for your email.
I don't want to take a lot of time rehashing a situation we have already
resolved. But just so you know, we took a measured and thoughtful look at
this entire situation, and there are apparently numerous facts of which
you aren't aware.
For example, you asked why we didn't warn him or suspend his chat rather
than barring him. The fact is, that is EXACTLY what we did, and when his
chat was reinstated, he went back to doing the exact same thing.
We have given this much more consideration than we might for another
player, but we have come to a decision that we believe in, and it's final.
Best regards,
Lee Jones

So they are staying with the chat thing even though in the email they sent Dutch it talked about his standing in the poker community?? I asked if they would ban Mike Mattusow due to his drug charge and current jail sentence but the didn't answer that question. I don't play on there site and never have and now never will.
Hey Dutch - I sent u an email but i will post here too.
I have a way that u can get a new pokerstars screenname.
I can make you a new one, or i can tell you how to make a new one using a special trick.
I myself have made about 5 Pokerstars screennames ( some of my screennames got banned for bad chatting or something like that)

I think Pokerstars is one of the best online poker rooms available. I have won about $150 off it - which to you probably doesnt sound like a lot - but im only 15 years old ( I dont have a credit card ;) ) so Ill take what i can get. Im trying to get good at poker - Online and Live - my friends and I play poker about every day during school - many times I have lost my lunch money - and other times I have Quadrupled my lunch money. I Hope I get as good as you someday. Hope we meet in Vegas - cause thats where my friends and I are goin as soon as we turn 21.
well, don't forget, Dutch...
for a while there, your poker business plan involved getting a copyright on online tournaments (pokerstars's biggest business) and proceeding to make money off of it -
given that you threatened their revenue in that way, letting you back in could be construed as approval of your business tactics.
RB
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Dutch Boyd ran an online cardroom into the ground (yeah whatever you wanna say dutch - say it to your creditors) and they don't want to have his name associated with the site in any way????
